NEW AGE FAIR PREP TASKS

Please email naf@myasc.org for more info or to volunteer

Job How Often, How Long Description
Press Releases 4 times a year, a few hours Submit online or Send Press Releases for Publicity Committee
Paperwork Preparation 4 times a year, a few hours We're looking for a volunteer with access to a computer and printer to help with paperwork preparation BEFORE the fair.
NAF Sign-Maker:  4 times a year, a few hours Involves hand-printing on poster-board with markers, affixing computer-printed reader information to pre-made signs and some word-processing. Not hard and doesn't take very long. Signs need to be at fair by 8 AM (OK to arrange for someone going to the fair to bring). We would want you to adopt the sign-making materials into your home. Current sign-maker has given notice but will train!
NAF Co-Coordinator:  4 times a year Crack the whip and oversee the various facets of the fair (each is handled by someone else). Be on site at the fair as the 's to” person for executive decisions. Assess profit/loss with the assistance of the ASC Treasurer and report to the Board of Directors. This position can be shared by up to four individuals.
NAF Readers Coordinator  xx Interview potential readers to check out their style and abilities. Maintain file of reader contact information and provide updates of such information to the people who maintain the ASC's database. Select readers for each fair, being sure to provide variety. (There is currently someone who calls the readers, but that duty could be part of this job.)
NAF Publicity:   xx Mail announcement flyers and “slips” (like postcards, only printed on paper) to a list of locations like stores and schools. This needs to happen about four weeks before each fair. You’ll need to be able to print labels. The cost for envelopes, labels and stamps will be paid by the ASC.
NAF Income Tracking  xx Reader and Vendor Income: After each fair, fill in Excel spreadsheets with the money the ASC received from vendors and readers. At the end of each calendar year, advise the Treasurer which readers earned $600 or more (and thus need to be sent a 1099 form for tax purposes).
