Welcome to the 2007-2008 ASC Season –
By Dave Drinnan, current President

Hey folks! The LUNAR Quarterly is back - and online! In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, the ASC is becoming "paperless" and, therefore, so we're making the LQ available online to members who have internet access. For those who receive this as a hard copy and now have internet access, please let us know.

As we go to press, we have 95 members who have joined or renewed for the 2007/2008 season. We have a strong membership each year, many of whom come out to attend our lectures, visit our New Age Fairs, take part in our Workshops, and borrow tapes and CD's from our extensive audio library. We started off our season with nationally known astrologer Steven Forrest, and we have several excellent lectures throughout the remainder of the season.

As a member of the Society for the past 19 years (wow... hard to believe it's been that long already!), and as the newly voted-in president, part of the kinship I feel with the Society is due to a Venus-Mercury conjunction I have in Virgo, conjuncting the ASC's natal Venus. If you have a chance, take a look at the ASC's Solar Return chart for a look at the ASC's upcoming year.

I’d like to thank James Santa-Mo for his recently-completed service as president of the Society. And I'd like to thank the Board members, both those who have recently completed their terms (Bob Smith, and Mary Anna Abuzahra), and those who have joined us this session (Pat
Peabody, and Harvey Cushing). And perhaps most of all, I want to really thank ALL of you who volunteer your time and energy with such dedication to the ASC in SO many ways!! Without your help, the ASC wouldn't be the well known and respected organization it is!

We are pleased to present this issue dedicated to our 35th birthday. I look forward to seeing you at our lectures or perhaps one of our other events. And by all means... please feel free to talk to me
(or any of the Board members) if there's anything on your mind ... whether it be 'thanks', constructive criticism, or the desire to help out by volunteering in any of numerous ways. In most cases, your interest and desire to help are more important than any special skills. So don't be afraid to volunteer!

Here's wishing everyone good fortune & lessons from your transits!
